History

At the time, grunge was just starting to happen so we spent Saturdays making ears bleed to the sounds of Nirvana, Mudhoney, Ministry et al.

Mid 90's-ish, Britpop blew up on us and we had a couple of years hammering Oasis and Blur down your throats.

The turn of the century saw Chaos wandering slightly aimlessly if we're honest towards the present day when live music is all powerful and British bands well and truly rule the alternative world.

Chaos left the pier in June 2008 to set up it's new home at The Wedgewood Rooms, Albert Road Southsea.

Roll of honour

Through the last 15 years, 12 DJ's have graced the Chaos decks so we here present The Chaos DJ Roll Of Honour.

Jay (1991 - 2001)

Big Jay started it all off, finally packing in at the turn of the century under the weight of offspring and normal life

Ped (1991 - 1999)

Pedro was also there from the start. Stopped in 1999, his body couldn't cope with the late nights and alcohol abuse any longer

Lance (1992 - 1993)

Lance Tilly was one of the Chaos unsung hero's. Had to cope with endless abuse from Jay and Ped. Last seen in Birmingham

Archie (1993 - 1996)

Archie oafed his way through 3 years of playing too much metal and hip-hop.He is now mainly massive and keeper of the nation's dark secrets

Bob (1995 - 1999)

The mighty Fat Bob started off the Chaos glory years championing Brit Pop until Country House by Blur finally tipped us over the edge.Currently all powerful web guru in Chester

Mike (1998 - 2002)

Little Mike spent 4 years playing obsure indie and electro and snogging more than his fair share of young ladies. Got fed up of Pompey life and now runs a Gap in Glasgow

Sparky (1999 - 2002)

Sparky only ever did it for the booze and women opportunities. Naffed off to Glasgow in pursuit of one of the aforementioned ladies in 2002

Carl (2002 - Present)

The mighty Mr Lemon has graced the deck for the last 4 years. In this time he has become slightly more ample and hairy though you still love him

Gary (2002 - 2003)

Mr Harris put in a quick years stint before realising that he couldn't live the dream AND pass his degree.Currently rocks our world with Hold Fast

Will (2003 - Present)

The one and only Chump has stamped his sizeable (and hairy ) presence on Chaos for the last few years. All round good egg.

Mark (2003 - 2008)

Spikey Mark has been batting off female attention for the last 3 years, much to the consternation of Carl and Will. Left Chaos to concentrate on tattoos and being a band manager.
